I’m Patricia Higuera, a Mid-Senior UX/UI Designer with 8 years of hands-on experience in User Experience, Strategic Thinking, User Interface Design. On my back, I carry stories, dreams, challenges, and inspirations that have shaped me into who I am.

My Journey into UX Design began at the tender age of 11 when I found myself coding my first web page for computer class in Elementary School. By 14, as part of advanced computer class, I had already created my first MS-DOS applications. The most remarkable: a clock that counted hours, minutes, and seconds. That same year, I found myself developing my first website when I took an HTML&CSS Web Design course given by INJUVE (Instituto Nacional de la Juventud). By 15, I was chosen to take an advanced class in Multimedia Creation, because of the advanced knowledge I had in Microsoft Excel and coding fundamentals in the code-block tool called Alice.

That’s where I discovered my path would be in the generation of Creative Arts with code and technology. That’s why I studied the Bachelor of Animation and Digital Arts at Tec de Monterrey, Campus Cuernavaca.

Upon leaving university, I found myself with a debt of half a million Mexican pesos (approximately 30,000 USD), and with no opportunity to find employment in my hometown, I accepted a job in Mexico City: Graphic Designer with focus on Web Development, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Development.

I became involved in the world of digital product design while working in the digital marketing industry. I immediately fell in love with the term user experience before UX was even known, when Facebook stores were just starting. I didn’t hesitate to take courses on creating wireframes, dynamic websites with JavaScript, and many others, within Crehana.
​
Throughout my career, I have worn many hats, collaborating with teams from various countries and across a wide range of sectors, including Health, Travel, Education, and ecommerce.
​
I was 22 years old when I became a UX Designer. Today I have hands on experience designing digital products in small and medium-sized companies. Driven by data and a passion for emerging tech, I excel at adapting to new challenges, strategic thinking, and responsive design.
